This soft case by Apertura is a Classic Flap Crossover bag for your compact equatorial mount head. Protect and transport your mount head in style with this clean and elegant design!
This industry-leading case is designed to hold the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer GTi. Made from high-quality 600D polyester, this soft case also features a half inch of foam padding to protect your mount and give form and structure. The top flap sports a magnetic snap closure as well as a backup zip-top flat to secure the mount in the case. The included adjustable shoulder strap can also be used as a cross-body strap.
Another Unique Product Offering from Apertura
Apertura designed this case for those not wanting to be slowed down by bulky and heavy hard cases. It is thought to be the first soft case designed for the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer GTi and other compact equatorial mount heads.
The inside of the case contains a special, padded compartment to secure counterweights and isolate them from the mount. The main internal compartment has an adjustable buckle strap to secure your mount to the side of the case, preventing the mount from shifting in transit. Also included is a small mesh pouch attached to an interior wall to hold the counterweight bar lock nut.
Attached to the exterior of the case is a long, slender compartment to house a counterweight bar.

This soft storage case is unique in that it is the only soft storage case on the market designed specifically for the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer GTi mount head as well as other compact equatorial mount heads on the market. Simple and Elegant Operation
The top flap of this soft case sports a magnetic snap closure, providing strength and security while also providing easy access to the mount and other gear. There is also a zipper under the magnetic flap for extra security during transportation.
Compartments for Every Component
The main compartment of this soft case has an adjustable strap to firmly secure the mount head. A padded counterweight compartment prevents the counterweights from hitting the mount or other components during transportation. A mesh pouch stores the counterweight bar locking nut. Attached to the outside of the case is a slot for the counterweight bar. The top of the case features a zipper closure, as well as a magnetic, fold-over flap.

The Apertura soft case fits my SkyWatcher Star Adventurer GTi perfectly. The top of the bag zips shut and then a magnetic flap covers the zipper. It has a small padded compartment in the bottom that velcroes to the sides to hold both my large and small counterweights, and the mount fits neatly on top of this. The bar for the counterweights is stor
ed in an external sleeve with Velcro closure once the large collar is removed. The collar itself fits in a small net pouch inside the case.
For storing or transporting the mount (via the padded shoulder strap), this case is wonderful.
A small gripe would be that to use this bag you must remove and disassemble the counterweight bar. On rare occasions when we have multiple clear nights, I’d prefer to leave everything together to reduce setup time. It’s just a small thing though. We love the bag!
