Starizona Hyperstar 4
for Fastar-Compatible 9.25″ Celestron SCT and EdgeHD
The HyperStar C925 from Starizona is designed for use with the Fastar-compatible Celestron 9.25″ Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. This is the only Hyperstar version that is compatible with both EdgeHD 9.25″ SCTs and non-EdgeHD 9.25″ SCTs. It helps capture up to a 3.0° field of view at an impressively fast f/2.2! Cameras from Meade, Orion, Atik, SBIG, Mallincam, Starlight Xpress, etc. are perfect for the HyperStar C925. Choose your camera from the drop-down above and we will send you the proper camera adapter. If your camera is not on the list, please write it into the field provided. It is also important that you give us your secondary housing and the mount style you plan to use with the Hyperstar. This way, we can make sure you hit the ground running!
Based on Celestron’s innovative Fastar feature, HyperStar by Starizona allows the secondary mirror on Celestron’s Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes to be removed. Mounting the HyperStar lens assembly in place of the secondary mirror enables you to mount a CCD camera at the front of the telescope. This provides much faster imaging and a wider field of view.
Switching between HyperStar System to the telescope’s normal f/10 configuration is simple, easy and requires no tools. No re-collimation is necessary because the telescope’s secondary mirror is indexed. Learn how to install your HyperStar in the comprehensive video below!

Jeremy L. Verified Buyer –
I finally received my HyperStar and had a few clear nights to test it out. The instructions were crystal clear and the clever design makes it easy to swap out the mirror and keep it protected in a special case. I had no issue threading on the HyperStar and the collimation process was very straightforward. I attached a ZWO ASI294MC Pro with an 11mm
M42-M42 sleeve adapter (the one that comes with the ZWO camera).
The M45 star cluster is 119 45-second exposures or just under 1.5 hours of imaging time. The M42 Orion Nebula is 60 30-second exposures for 30 minutes total imaging time. I did not take any calibration (flats, darks, bias) frames and just did some fast processing/clean up in PixInsight.
I’m really excited to point this at a dusty region from a dark site and take advantage of it’s ability to gather light 25x faster than my original scope configuration!
