I live under a Bortle 8 sky and use a PVS14 Night vision device for much of my viewing. the night vision device brings dark sky effects to my heavily light polluted backyard and that in part is accomplished by using various light filters. My new Antila 2.5nm Ha ultra filter makes Nebulae pop in the eyepiece like magic. I can clearly see Bernard’s
Loop with telescopes as small as 60mm using this filter, so you can imagine how well large aperture scopes will work and they do.
