Sony IMX432 CMOS Sensor
Utilizing the advanced 3rd Gen Pregius technology, this Sony IMX432 includes a Global Shutter function to avoid focal plane distortion on moving objects. This is optimal during times of poor seeing or on windy days where movement of the target can alter image quality if the readout speed is not fast enough (< 30fps). This 1608×1104 resolution sensor has a quantum efficiency of 79% and low readout noise 2.9e. Its outstanding 97000e full well capacity, 12bit ADC, and 9um pixel size allows you to capture the intricate structures on the Sun and Moon!

During high speed imaging, it’s important to have a system in place to handle the large amount of data sent from your camera to your computer. The added 256MB of internal memory provided by the DDR3 memory cache greatly reduces buffer time as well as prevents frame drop. Also integrated within this ASI432MM is the absence of amp glow!
