To shield your sensitive electronics, Apertura has engineered the Armored USB Hub with protection both from your power source and connected devices. Each USB port supports the fast USB 3.0 (backwards compatible with USB 2.0) standard and is capable of supplying 5V with up to 2.6A of current for higher draw devices – but try to draw more than that and it’s shields up! In an instant this hub will work to shut down any port that tries to draw too much power and keep the rest of your connected gear safe from an equipment malfunction. The best part? All other equipment remains connected to your PC, meaning your rig might be down but it won’t be out!

Apertura has designed this hub to work with the hardware and power supplies that you likely already have! From the 5.5×2.1 mm 12V power input, to the Synta-style bracket designed to work with most findershoes on the market today, this hub supports the astronomy industry standards to make integration easy. For more mounting options, Apertura has also added ¼”x20 mounting holes to the bottom of the case to allow for more unique attachments, such as through a dovetail bar/ top rail.
