A High Quality Triplet Reducer
Sporting three internal lens elements, this reducer upholds the sharpness delivered by the Askar 71F. It also supports a large 44 mm image circle, and brings the native 490 mm focal length down to 367.5 mm. This means larger targets can be captured in a single frame without the need for a mosaic! Also, enjoy completing your projects in a more timely manner, as the native focal ratio of f/7 is brought down to f/5.2. Featuring a back focus of 55 mm, this distance is easy to achieve with today’s most popular imaging systems.
How to Connect Your Reducer
To install this Askar 71F Reducer, a few simple steps ensue. First, remove the photographic extension tube from your Askar 71F, and detach the M64 to M64 adapter of this photographic extension tube (unit “A” in this diagram). This will leave the M64 to M48 portion (unit “B” in this diagram). Next, remove the caps on the reducer, then connect the bottom of the reducer (the side with the wider threads) to the M64 side of the 71F photographic adapter. Finally, screw the reducer into the Askar 71F, and you’re set to image!
