Askar has designed the focal plane adjuster, also called a tilt adjuster, with a front thread of M54 and a rear thread of male M48. The Askar Focal Plane Adjuster also offers an angle adjustment range of ±1°, and printed on the body of the adjuster is is a 5′ scale to make adjusting easier! With a thickness of 18 mm, the Askar focal plane adjuster is incredibly simple to use and users of specific Sharpstar telescopes, such as the APO series, Askar V, 71F, and 50EDPH, can directly replace their filter thread ring (also 18 mm) without the need to recalculate back focus!

Unique Adjuster Design
This Askar focal plane adjuster differs from more common adjusters which use a three-point, push-pull mechanism which causes the relative distance between the two ends to change, affecting the back focus and impacting the star quality at the edges of images. Unique to this Askar tilt adjuster, the spherical adjustment design allows for adjustment of the tilt angle without affecting relative distance, which provides more accurate and consistent adjustments.

Versatility and Ease-of-Use
In addition to the built-in front thread of M54 and a rear thread of male M48, Askar has included an M54 to M48 adapter for converting the front M54 thread to M48 without affecting the overall thickness. This provides a wider range of use for the adjuster and increases the versatility of this helpful accessory. In addition to increased range of use, this focal plane adjuster from Askar also comes with an intuitive installation design that does not require additional tools. It eliminates the need to repeatedly reassemble and adjust when attaching cameras and other accessories. All you need to do is rotate the handle to adjust the tilt angle.
