A Pro Imaging Filter For Your Nikon Z!
Enhance your Nikon Z mirrorless camera’s view of deep sky objects with this
premium clip-in filter from Optolong! With a design that places the filter
element
inside your camera, you can boost astrophoto image contrast and battle
light-pollution with any system your camera is attached to. So whether you
want to capture ultra-wide images with a camera lens or close up views through
a telescope, the Optolong L-Pro Nikon Z Clip-In Filter has you covered!
The Optolong L-Pro filter is designed to block common sources of light
pollution such as sodium and mercury vapor lamps and skyglow, as well as
ultra-violet and infrared light; blocking UV/IR light outside of the 300-750
mm range. This multi-bandpass filtering approach precisely blocks unwanted
light from reaching your Nikon Z sensor while allowing most of the remaining
visible spectrum to pass. With this filtering profile you will see more ‘pop’
in your images without requiring some of the extra post processing dedication and
more careful target selection that some more aggressive contrast filters or
narrowband options introduce. Simply install the Optolong L-Pro in your Nikon
Z camera and watch as broadband and narrowband targets alike come to life with
more contrast and detail. With the city lights and skyglow stripped away,
achieving stellar results with your lens or scope is easier than ever before!
Packing this extra performance into your camera has been simplified with this
premium coated filter’s clip-in design; which sits inside the camera body
itself, ensuring any telescope you can connect your Nikon Z camera to or
native photography lens can realize the benefit of the L-Pro’s professional
filtering performance.

To minimize this, Optolong recommends using a focal length of 50 mm or
longer.
Light Pollution Filter Profile: A Closer Look
How does the Optolong L-Pro block light pollution while allowing stellar views
of deep sky objects through? How do you know whether its filtering is the
right one for you, and how it compares to other filters? Well it all is
explained in the chart! By looking at the L-Pro’s filter chart you’ll be able
to identify what it is blocking, how aggressively it is filtering, and how
much of the desired light is transmitted through to your camera sensor. While
filter charts can be a bit mysterious at first — especially with filters
with complex profiles like this offering from Optolong — with just a bit
of guidance you’ll soon have an eye for these informative images. If you’re
looking to delve into the details of filter profile, we’ve created a guide to
de-mystify these infographics in our

How to Read a Filter Transmission Chart and Choose a Filter!
Straightforward Installation
Adding the Optolong L-Pro Nikon Z Clip-In Filter to your Nikon Z imaging train
is a simple process, requiring only a clear work surface and some care! Start
by placing your Nikon Z camera body on a clean, flat surface. Next grab your
L-Pro clip-in filter, taking care not to touch the filter glass, and ensure
the ‘Optolong’ printing is facing up at you. Angle the filter such that the
‘Optolong’ printed section is pointing towards the top of the camera (where
the hot shoe would go), and towards a small ‘lip’ or ‘shelf’ inside the camera
body. Insert the filter until the top is touching this lip, and then begin to
drop the rest of the filter into place.
Ensure this rests on the interior lip and does not fall into the camera
body. Once the filter is in place, gently press the bottom section with
the small tab down until the tab clicks into place. Your filter is now
installed and your camera is ready for the stars!
Removing the clip-in filter is similarly straightforward. With the camera
removed from your imaging train and laying on a flat, clean, surface, gently
press in the spring tab at the bottom of the filter. With this depressed,
carefully begin to lift the clip-in filter up out of the camera body. Once it
is angled out enough that you can safely grasp it, firmly take hold of
the filter edge and finish lifting it out of the camera. Stow the filter
safely away, and your camera transformation is now complete!
Pro Imaging Filter Feature Set

allowing you to capture a more natural view of targets while still providing
a notable boost to contrast and detail! This multi-band filtering profile is
perfect for capturing broadband targets like galaxies and narrowband deep
sky objects like emission nebulae alike, with the Hα, Hβ, OIII,
and SII wavelengths passed through this filter with above 90% transmittance
— allowing you to create awe-inspiring images from the Andromeda
Galaxy to the North American Nebula!
Premium Construction
The Optolong L-Pro Nikon Z
Clip-In Filter is made with premium construction to help ensure your images
only see a boost when adding this imaging filter to your setup! To fight
