This deluxe hard case from Apertura works with both the Celestron NexStar 6SE and 8SE OTAs, allowing either to be stored while still attached to the single fork arm mount. The case is able to provide a secure fit for both models thanks to its custom-cut foam interior, which works as follows: When you open the case, you will see a cut-out for the smallest of the two scopes…the NexStar 6SE…and both the OTA and mount will fit snugly into place. However, if you have the NexStar 8SE, simply remove the foam insert that partially surrounds the perimeter of the cutout for the OTA (see the photo showing the foam insert in the process of being lifted out to create a larger opening). Removing the insert will allow the larger 8SE OTA and fork arm to fit in the case, while still providing plenty of protection. Apertura has also included several additional cuts in the foam to accept various accessories. When not in use, these accessory receptacles can be plugged with foam.

While the thick interior custom foam offers excellent shock absorption protection, this case additionally uses a durable, hard, plastic shell to further guard against knocks and bumps. This shell’s lid features foam to fully encase your Celestron NexStar 6SE or 8SE in cushioning, and is securely held shut with four latches. Dual latch setups introduce a possible point of failure should one latch accidentally pop open, as one this leaves one side unsecured and able to flex open. The Apertura Deluxe Hard Case’s quad-latch system eliminates this concern by providing four points of closure, providing latch fail-safe security.

Convient Handles and Rollers
Whether you need to lift your case off a shelf or out of your car, or wheel it to the perfect spot during an observation or star party, the Apertura Deluxe Hard Case for Celestron NexStar 8SE & 6SE has you covered! Three carry handles are built into the case allowing you to securely move this in the orientation that best suits your needs, with a fourth handle for rolling this with the built in wheels.
