   Have not had a chance to view deep sky yet as it has been either brutally cold, cloudy, or moonlit phase in the past week; but my views of Venus, Jupiter, Mars and the moon are exquisite! Mars’ polar cap was amazing as were the striations on Jupiter. It did take some time to learn how to focus (focusing via a mirror is quite different than focusin

   g an eyepiece, so keep that in mind) but a Highpoint employee helped me troubleshoot this over the phone in a friendly and instructive way. The tripod and OTA are light enough for me to comfortably carry (135# woman; so an important factor for me) but powerful enough to give great views thus far. I am not a tinkerer and that is a huge reason I was attracted to a sealed tube that should not require collimation. I highly recommend considering this scope if you are looking for something lightweight and portable, tinker-free and want crisp and clear views.
