Also, the white water glass used within the corrector lens paired with the StarBright XLT coatings allow for an 8% increase in light transmission compared to the standard, uncoated soda lime glass used within other telescopes. Anti-reflective properties are also at play, ensuring the captured light makes it to the eyepiece or camera. With a focal length of 3910mm, these coatings make sights of planetary details, the craters on our Moon, and distant galaxies phenomenal! Wanting to boost how quickly your telescope collects light? Fully Fastar compatible, reduce the native f/11 focal ratio by adding the Starizona HyperStar (not included) for wickedly fast f/2 imaging. Please note: This telescope features mirror locking knobs on the rear cell to keep the primary mirror in place during transportation. Prior to turning the focus knob, it’s necessary to loosen these mirror locking knobs to prevent possible damage to your equipment.
