   I needed this not as a dew shield, but rather as something that would allow me to capture flat files. The usual method of putting a white sheet over the aperture would not work on my setup, becuase I use a Hyperstar lens, which is attached to the corrector plate. Adding the dew shield gives an offset from the aperture, allowing me to take flats. I

   nstead of using a white sheet, I bought a light table. It did a wonderful job in producing flats that removed the artifact I was seeing from the final image.
