I have only been able to use this 2 times so far do to weather, I installed my Williams Optics z103 with electronic focuser, filter wheel, 60 mm guide scope and camera, along with my Atik Horizon camera. The weight was a little much for the counter weight and needed to add a second weight. The IPolar worked flawlessly got polar alignment in less t
han 2 min. All my equipment on the OTA I ran thru a usb hub mounted on the OTA with a single connection to the usb on the vixen plate, that feeds to usb out on the back of the mount, 4 cables brought down to 1 single cable, a separate usb on the side controls the mount thru NINA with no problems. Tracking with my 60mm guide scope and Orion Star Shooter Guider gave me .19 total error, stars were round with great tracking. I was and still do was using a Sky Watcher EQ6 but was getting frustrated with how long it took to get set up, lot of backlash problems a lot of maintenance to keep running at top performance. There is a lot I like about the Sky Watcher but when I don’t have much time to spare I could not count on it to get set up fast, some times it may take a hr. to get everything working correctly the CEM40 less than 15 min, with better cable management no more cable snags. So all I can say is that it tracks better, sets up faster, a lot lighter, and has better cable management, from what I found on the web buy it with the 2” tripod if doing astro photography, I got the hard case for dark site trips.
