Apertura Premium Finder Scope Shoe – Version II

This upgraded Finder Scope Shoe from Apertura, also called a mounting base for finders, is the perfect accessory needed for mounting your finder to an OTA that has a diameter of 3.5″ or larger. The V2 of the Apertura finder shoe comes with a new, stylized design that has been reinforced for added rigidity. The slots have been widened to allow for more hardware compatibility, and the base thickness has been increased to further stiffen the shoe. The updates don’t stop there, however. The dovetail slot has also been widened for increased compatibility with various finder shoe accessories. Finally, the central slot is now uninterrupted for a greater range of adjustability. That’s what I call an upgrade!

This upgraded version of the Apertura finder shoe is based off of the same functional design–if the original worked for you, so will this version. Apertura designed this finder shoe to have a cross-slot screw-hole pattern so that it can be used with many different types of telescopes. It can be used with screws that are up to 5 mm in diameter such as M4 or M5 screws.

Compatibility Measurements
The center slot of the Apertura finder shoe is 26 mm center-to-center, so scopes that have a distance between the screw holes of 26 mm down to 10 mm center-to-center (depending on the hardware used) can use this shoe. The Side-to-Side slot is the same maximum 26 mm center-to-center, though as this section is not one continuous slot the minimum is down to around 15.6 mm center-to-center.
