August N. Verified Buyer –
Functions wonderfully and simplifies cable management in a major way. Dew heater control is simple and seamless, auto dew is set it and forget it, and it handles variable amperage demand extremely well. The temperature probe is great for remote work as it lets you monitor not just temperature but also humidity/dew point along with a nice graph of
the changing temperature over time. The price tag seems a little steep for what the hardware is, but what you’re really buying is peace of mind and simple seamless functionality. Of all the troubleshooting and tinkering required for astrophotography, I can confidently say that this part has required no tinkering from me. It just works out of the box and provides my mount, camera, and dew heater with power. Cable snags are a thing of the past because I only have to run 2 cables down from my telescope: one to power the powerbox, and one to connect up USB from my camera.
