Apertura 0.67x Ritchey-Chrétien Focal Reducer
Expand your Ritchey-Chrétien telescope’s eye into the night sky with this
premium focal reducer from Apertura! With a large 0.67x focal reduction
factor, you’ll be able to capture notably bigger targets faster than before.
With these premium optics, when it comes to augmenting your RC telescope
performance, the Apertura 0.67x Ritchey-Chrétien Focal Reducer is the focal
  reducer for you!
This focal reducer will widen your RC telescope’s field of view and provide a
brighter image, effectively functioning at a faster focal ratio! While the
Apertura 0.67x Ritchey-Chrétien Focal Reducer will provide excellent results
with any RC, it has been designed with the Apertura CarbonStar 6″
Ritchey-Chretien Telescope and CarbonStar 8″ Ritchey-Chretien Telescope in
mind, featuring not only an industry standard 2″ eyepiece barrel for building
your imaging train, but also an M56 threaded collar that allows for a threaded
connection with those incredible scopes. Connecting your camera to the reducer
has been made simple, with an M48 threaded output connection and a 55mm
backfocal design; perfect for the most common standards for dedicated
astronomy cameras and photography camera T-Rings alike! This camera support
doesn’t stop there, with a well corrected image circle covering up to APS-C
sized sensors for compatibility with some of the most popular camera options
on the market today. Last (but not least!) this reducer also makes augmenting
your camera’s view into the night sky easy, with an M48x0.75 filter cell for
adding your favorite 2″ mounted astrophotography filter!
Your Ritchey-Chrétien Reducer Solution
With premium optics, a solid design that works with the excellent CarbonStar
RC telescopes and other popular Ritchey-Chrétiens, all backed by an industry
leading warranty, the Apertura 0.67x Ritchey-Chrétien Focal Reducer is the
  reducing solution for your scope!
    Premium Ritchey-Chrétien Reducer
This 2″ focal reducer
provides a wider and brighter view into the night sky, allowing you to
capture larger targets faster with cameras all the way up to an APS-C sized
sensor. These 0.67x reducing optics are housed in a durable black oxide
coated aluminum body, with space for an M48x0.75 threaded 2″
astrophotography filter cell in the nose. Designed with the most common
focuser and imaging equipment used today in mind, this reducer has a 2″
barrel for connecting to your focuser and an M48 threaded end to attach your
    55mm imaging train.

    Designed with CarbonStar in Mind
The Apertura 0.67x
Ritchey-Chrétien Focal Reducer has been designed to synergize with the
incredibly popular CarbonStar RC telescope line up. With an M56 threading on
the collar, this reducer can thread directly on to the linear-bearing
    EAF-ready focuser featured on the
    Apertura CarbonStar 6″ Ritchey-Chretien
    and
    CarbonStar 8″ Ritchey-Chretien
telescopes. This turns the 6″ RC into a 918mm focal length, f/6, telescope
    from a 1377mm f/9, and transforms the 8″ RC into a 1060mm f/5.3 from its
1600mm f/8 base. For users looking to maintain the rotation capabilities of a standard 2″ barrel connection while using this threaded solution, the Apertura M56 Camera Rotator (sold separately) can be added between your CarbonStar and this reducer. While this reducer will provide stellar results on any
Ritchey-Chrétien, it shines brightest on CarbonStar!

Avi Verified Buyer –
I was a bit skeptical that it could produce a 0. 67x focal reduction with only a 55mm separation from the sensor but it pretty much did. (It turned out to only produce a 0. 69x reduction but I won’t deduct a star from the review. ) I also own the highly touted Astrophysics CCDT67 reducer. Initial results from this reducer produced star geometries
of comparable quality. The fact that it can thread-attach to the other Carbonstar RC’s is a plus, one that I can’t take advantage of because I own an RC6 from another manufacturer.
