Improved Specifications
Building upon the solid foundation of the eQuinox, Unistellar’s eQuinox 2 smart telescope features some improved specifications to make it even better for urban stargazing. These improvements include an increased image resolution of 6.2 megapixels, as well as an increased field of view of 34 x 47 arc minutes. Other specifications include a limiting magnitude of 18.2, 64 gigabytes of onboard storage, and a long, 11-hour battery life, all in a lightweight, 20 pound package!

Deep Dark Technology Unlocked with Unistellar App 2.4 and Above
As the Unistellar app continues to improve and evolve, keeping the app up-to-date can unlock additional features to get the most from your Unistellar smart telescope. In version 2.4 and above, Unistellar has released its “Deep Dark Technology”, a radical software advancement to filter light pollution and noise. This technology automatically filters out the interference from city lights that would otherwise obscure the light signal from distant celestial objects!

Light Pollution Control for Urban Areas
Thanks to Unistellar’s Smart Light Pollution Reduction technology, one can explore the night sky even in light polluted urban areas. The eQuinox 2 features Unistellar’s in-house, state-of-the-art image processing to filter out the most common sources of light pollution within cities to provide high contrast, high resolution views of the solar system and beyond!

Your Phone or Tablet is Your Space Control Center
With the Unistellar app for Android and iOS devices, you can turn your phone or tablet into a space control center. Through the app you can access and observe thousands of space objects in the Unistellar database! The app allows full control of the eQuinox 2, giving you access to detailed information about the database objects, automated go-to navigation, the ability to snap and share photos, and more!

Citizen Science
Astronomy has always been a scientific field where amateurs and their observations contribute greatly to our understanding of the universe. Now, this has become even easier through Unistellar’s partnership with the National Aeronautic and Space Administration (NASA). This allows eQuinox 2 owners to participate in research on exoplanets, asteroids, comets, and more!

Included Backpack
UniStellar worked with a highly regarded case manufacturer for high-end, large telephoto lenses to create a backpack for the eQuinox 2 that not only would protect it, but that would be comfortable to carry! The Unistellar ackpack is made of tough reinforced fabric and the inside is padded with high-density foam. The shoulder straps are padded and adjustable as is the hip strap that can be used to distribute the weight of the telescope. Inside you will find 5 pockets, and the outside sports a ventilated back panel and a removable rain shield.
