From the endlessly updateable onboard computer that stores all your celestial adventures to the unique Nikon digital micro-OLED eyepiece, every stargazing session spent with the eVscope 2 will be unforgettable. And the best part? This smart telescope uses a fully autonomous plate-solving procedure to instantly align with the night sky and effortlessly locate any of the 5,500 celestial objects in the Unistellar database, ensuring you spend your time looking at the stars and not for them!
Deep Dark Technology
Unistellar designed the eVscope 2 with the future in mind! That’s why keeping it up-to-date through the Unistellar app will ensure you have access to all the latest advances like Deep Dark Technology! This impressive software quickly analyzes the image data recorded by the eVscope 2 to filter light pollution and eliminate image noise. This means you can enjoy clear views of numerous deep sky objects, even from heavily light-polluted skies of urban environments like Tokyo or Las Vegas!
A New Perspective of the Final Frontier
The eVscope 2 transcends tradition with its streamlined user-friendly design and its many advanced features. By seamlessly joining the light gathering power of a classic Newtonian reflector with the light capturing technology of Sony’s Exmor IMX347 digital imaging sensor, this smart telescope delivers breathtakingly clear views of deep sky objects from a completely new perspective. Central to this extraordinary experience is the fully incorporated digital micro OLED eyepiece from Nikon that operates in conjunction with Unistellar’s dynamic signal amplification software to provide uncharted live views of numerous nebulae, galaxies, star-clusters, and more. Read on to learn how eVscope 2 redefines exploration of the cosmos!
Revolutionary Optics
Featuring a 4.5″ mirror with a 450 mm focal length, an optical magnification of 50X, and digital magnification up to 400X (150X recommended), the eVscope seamlessly combines form and function to deliver crisp, detailed views of the cosmos. With a highly developed spherical and aspherical lens assembly and cutting-edge OLED micro-display technology, the fully integrated Nikon digital eyepiece redefines the nature of stargazing. Lose yourself in the energetic colors of emission nebulae, observe the brilliant light of distant stars in ultra-high contrast, and enjoy wide, clear views free of any optical aberration. What truly makes this eyepiece revolutionary is the way it allows your eye to rest in a natural focal position. Unlike viewing objects through the screen of your smartphone or computer, the digital Nikon eyepiece allows your eye to appropriately adjust to the vastness of space, making it effortless to get lost in the depths of our universe!
Enhanced Viewing
At the heart of the eVscope 2 lies the 7.7 MP Sony Exmor IMX347 imaging sensor, which resolves low-light details in vivid colors and sharp contrasts. Paired with Unistellar’s dynamic signal amplification software, which captures and stacks multiple images in real-time, this smart scope will provide you with live views of deep-sky objects that traditional telescopes can’t match. The Unistellar app further enhances the ability of the Sony imaging sensor by utilizing a fine-tuned algorithm to distinguish between signal and noise. Once the algorithm does its work, the targeted celestial object is significantly enhanced and free of noise. So, with the eVscope 2, you’ll be able to enjoy clear views from the comfort of your backyard, regardless of light pollution!
Ease of Use
The eVscope 2 is a remarkable intuitive system designed with the user in mind. The feature that best exemplifies its user-friendly design is the fully automated tracking and pointing system, called Autonomous Field Detection. This feature unifies numerous advances in tracking software and technology to effortlessly navigate the vastness of space. By comparing the telescope’s field of view with the millions of star coordinates in its database, the eVscope 2 preforms a unique plate-solving procedure to ensure extremely accurate and fully automated alignment in just ten seconds! After the alignment procedure is complete, you can use the Unistellar app to select one of the 5,500 objects in its database and watch as eVscope 2 swiftly locates and locks in on its target. Once it’s locked on, the motorized alt-azimuth mount will ensure the object stays center with its smooth and accurate tracking. To further support your expeditions into the final frontier, the eVscope is equipped with a lithium-ion battery boasting a 10-hour life and 64 GB of onboard storage, allowing you to easily capture and store numerous observations!
Portability
Weighing just 19.8 lb (9 kg) including the tripod, the eVscope 2 is designed to tag along on all your terrestrial and celestial adventures! To ensure your cosmic companion is transported in style, Unistellar recruited the help of talented designers to craft a custom-built backpack. From the reinforced durable fabric and high-density foam padding to the cushioned and adjustable shoulder and hip straps, this thoughtfully designed, travel-friendly backpack strikes a much-needed balance between comfort, convenience, and care. It even includes a removable rain shield to protect the eVscope from surprise weather events, five external pockets for all your accessories, and a ventilated back panel! So, wherever your journey takes you, the eVscope 2 will remain protected while looking stylish and feeling comfortable to use.

Having done astrophotography for years, my age caught up with me and the thought of setting all the equipment up, polar aligning and staying up alll hours started to loose its appeal. I saw this scope and up front the pictures you get are not the best. Having said that they are not that bad. What I love is the ease of setup. Turn it on link to you
r mobile device point a a group of stars hit a button on the app and its aligned. No need to find Polaris or do anything with polar alignment. It uses plate solving for alignment. I found it to be very acturate and always found my object and placed it dead center. Litterly I was able to start imaging within 5 minutes. What I love is its light and self contained. I can take the scope and tripod outside in one trip. No need for cables power supplies etc. The pictures like I said are not up to the quality you’ll find on the internet but they are not bad and I managed to capture about 6 different targets in one night. Something that would have taken much longer maybe managing one object per night. Love this scope and it gets me out at night way more frequently than if I dragged all the other equipment out. Over all happy. with the purchase, and being so portable I can take it easily to other dark sights. I also puchased the case and it does not disappoint. Well make and makes traveling with the scope a breese.
