   I was looking for a way to safely observe the sun without needing to buy a separate solar telescope. After doing some research and speaking to the helpful and knowledgeable folks at High Point, I landed on purchasing this filter for my 8” Apertura AD8. This has been a wonderful accessory to have with my scope and it allows me to quickly and safely

   view the sun. I’ve had it for a few weeks now, and I’m impressed with the quality. I can see sunspots in detail along with some of the less obvious features of the sun. And, the surface features change on a regular basis so every time I observe the sun, there’s something new to notice! These filters come in a variety of sizes to fit most scopes and I’m very pleased I purchased this. Now, my stargazing is no longer limited to the nighttime hours!
