   I purchased this solar filter in advance of the May 9 transit of Mercury. The filter beautifully fits my 9.25″ Celestron NexStar Evolution. The Velcro attachments for the safety straps, however, separated from their adhesive when I attempted to attach them to the telescope. With that said, a few dollars spent at a fabric shop for a roll of replace

   ment Velcro was all that was required to solve the problem. Other than the Velcro issue, the filter is excellent. I’m accustomed to the orange hue cast by some glass filters, but this filter doesn’t impart any coloration of the observed image, so the sun appears white. I like this much better and I recommend this product.
