The Celestron NexStar 130 SLT is a great first telescope! With 5 inches of aperture, you can experience solar system objects like the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter & Mars as well as deep-sky objects such as the Andromeda Galaxy and the Orion Nebula! Computerized with an easy-to-use hand controller, the Celestron NexStar 130 SLT is perfect for the whole family.
- This bundle includes an amazing Apertura 13-piece 1.25″ Eyepiece and Filter Kit and an Apertura Portable Power Supply! Eyepieces (for different magnifications) are the most important accessories to accumulate, and you’ll get a nice selection with this accessory kit. The power supply allows you to run your telescope out in the wild (or your backyard), without the need for an AC outlet.
About the Celestron NexStar 130SLT Computerized Telescope
The popularity of Celestron’s NexStar 114 models inspired us to go bigger! They are proud to introduce NexStar 130 SLT. The NexStar 130SLT Newtonian Telescope has 30% more light-gathering power than their 114 mm telescope. The 130SLT, like the other models in the Celestron SLT Series, comes with a fully computerized hand control. The computerized hand control of this SLT telescope gives you the ability to automatically slew to any of its 40,000+ objects, including over 600 galaxies, 300 clusters, and dozens of beautiful binary stars. The Celestron NexStar 130SLT is pre-assembled and has an adjustable steel tripod. This scope can be up and ready to use in a matter of minutes. The new SkyAlign alignment technology and the included StarPointer Finderscope with a red LED makes aligning the Celestron 130SLT a breeze.
View the details of the lunar surface, the rings of Saturn, the polar ice caps on Mars, the cloud belts on Jupiter or a number of the Messier objects such as the globular cluster in Hercules (M13), or the Great Nebula in Orion (M42) with the Celestron 130SLT. Begin to explore some of the fainter Messier objects using the additional light-gathering capabilities of the 130SLT’s 5″ primary mirror. Because of the Newtonian design, the mirror gives fully color-corrected views that are best suited for astronomical use. The 130SLT Telescope by Celestron is the most popular of the SLT series because of the value it offers. If you are looking for a beginner’s telescope with impressive performance, the Celestron NexStar 130SLT is a smart choice! About the Apertura 13-piece 1.25″ Filter and Eyepiece Kit
This eyepiece and filter kit is an amazing deal and will allow you to match your telescope’s magnification to different types of celestial objects, such as the Moon, the planets, brighter compact deep-sky objects such as star clusters and larger, more diffuse objects like galaxies and nebulae. Use any of your eyepieces alone, or pair them with the included 2X Barlow to double the magnification! Not counting any eyepieces you receive as standard equipment with your telescope, that means you will have ten (10) magnifications to choose from!
You will also receive six filters to use while viewing the planets. It takes some experimentation, but different colored filters will make details on a planet’s surface or cloud structure more prominent. These glass filters have threaded aluminum cells that screw onto the bottom of any of the eyepieces in this kit, as well as other 1.25” eyepieces you purchase later. Before long, you will know exactly which filter to use to more easily see, for instance, the polar ice caps on Mars or storms in the cloud structure of Jupiter.
All of the eyepieces and filters in this kit come stored in an aluminum case. Inside you will find protective foam that cushions your astronomy accessories. The case may be silver or black, it all depends on our availability at the time, but either way, you will find that there is some extra room for more telescope eyepieces, filters, or other small accessories.
About the Apertura Portable Telescope Power Supply
When it comes to imaging systems there’s no getting around needing more compared to a purely visual setup – more components, more computing power, more cables, and importantly more power. Keeping these energy hungry systems running for hours on end has been a challenge, requiring heavy lead-acid batteries, multiple small power supplies, or a suboptimal series of adapters to attempt to turn an off-the-shelf battery into a dedicated astrophotography solution. Now however there’s a better way, with the Apertura All Night Imaging Power Supply! With a large EV-grade lithium battery pack, astronomy industry standard 5.5×2.1mm output ports, USB-A, USB-C PD 100W, 120V AC outputs for everything else, and all the essential cables you’ll need, this power supply is the easy choice for astrophotography setups!
